Body language & Emotion a series by Bruke Marew.
The idea: Emphasis the organic form of the human body. The subject opened up himself to the camera to reveal his emotions through body language.
Challenges I faced while photographing: It became increasingly difficult to compose each shot while trying to stick to a constraint of keeping the subject’s face hidden. The constraint forced me to think of creative solutions on how I could differentiate the shots.
Editing process: My style tends to stay on monochrome, it directs the focus of the image towards the subject rather than different colored surfaces. I heavily rely on adjusting the contrast, grain, and shadows. All three of which play a major role in how I define the contours created by the lighting.
